Dr Younus Saleem provides a video-link clinic and is a very highly qualified ADD specialist. After waiting an interminable time for an NHS Adult AD(H) D assessment I opted to go privately. Dr Saleem's costs are much lower in his video link clinic than other providers: £300 for the assessment, £110 for weekly email triation (not per week but for all of it), and then about £150 for the follow up appointment before handover to GP. I had to complete a form requiring detailed information about my symptoms and history. A family member had to complete a form about me too. Dr Saleem then carried out a very thorough assessment lasting an hour before confirming my diagnosis. He was very professional, personable and conscientious. Having established that I definitely suffer from ADD, he prescribed Elanse (Lisdexamfetamine) on a steadily increasing dose and advised me it might take some time to work. However, in my case the effects were near instant and fantastically (miraculously!) good. I feel well for the first time I can remember: calm, energised, able to concentrate, focused and much more besides. Even my hearing has improved. And I have every reason to be confident that these benefits will only increase as my dose increases. This is the only medication that has effectively addressed the terrible anxiety I was feeling (anxiety can be caused by ADD/ADHD). I feel natural and have a focused calm mind for the first time I can remember.

Dr Saleem took time to establish my symptoms with patience and care. He clearly listened to me and probed my answers to his questions leaving me confident in his diagnosis. I enjoyed talking to him about a difficult subject.

I chose Dr Saleem due to the level of experience he possesses. His expert knowledge of ADHD and his work background reassured me that he would be the correct doctor for me, and I was not disappointed. From the beginning of my meeting with Dr Saleem I found him to be a very calm and in tune individual, I could tell that his confidence really reflected on his medical knowledge about the issues I was discussing, and felt that I was in a relaxed environment where I could truly express how I felt to someone who would understand on a personal as well as medical level. Dr Saleem took a lot of time to really listen to me, and gave attention to particular areas that I wanted to discuss further without any trouble. After a thorough and extensive discussion into my history as a child and adult, Dr Saleem was able to take into consideration my screening forms and form an appropriate diagnoses for me. His professionalism was to an extremely high standard and I trust his diagnosis with the information I have given to him. I would recommend anyone suffering from a disease within his speciality to reach out and discuss your options, I feel I am in good hands within his care and will continue to use his expertise for the foreseeable future.
